EMBRACE GREEN
LIVING ON ST. JOHN

OUR COMMITMENT TO GREEN LIVING

We are committed to preserving the beauty of St. John and the Virgin Islands. We aim to keep plastic out of our properties, off our island, and out of the landfill. We need your help to be plastic-free!

Avoid single-use water bottles – and bring your own! The water out of our refrigerators is triple-filtered.

Compost containers are in every unit. Leftover coffee grounds, veggie and fruit peels, eggshells, etc., can be placed in them.

Whenever you are out of the villa during the day, we ask that you turn off all air, lights, and fans. At night, if/when you’re heading out, you can leave the air on and one light on.

We stand behind the USVI’s ban on reef-harming sunscreens and encourage guests to choose reef-safe, mineral-based alternatives to help protect our vibrant ocean life.

RECYCLING PROTOCOLS

Cans

Please rinse and place in the blue bins outside the unit; they can go in the same bin as the plastic recyclables.

Glass

A member of our Artistic Villas team will come by to retrieve them for use in Donald’s pottery (his signs, magic stones, and dishes all use recycled glass).

Plastic

Numbers 1, 2, and 5 only. Please rinse out the containers so they are clear of food remnants. Then, place the empty containers in the blue bins outside of the unit.

THANK YOU

for working with us and contributing to a healthier and more sustainable environment.
